To Dorne (Sevilla to non-Westerosi)

We woke up and drove to Albafuria for lunch on the way to faro airport.
Albafuria is ok I guess

Dropped off the car and got the bus to Seville. I spied a hole in the wall place which advertised "platos muy economicos". I negotiated some food in my terrible Spanish and we ate. Willow was being too annoying for the high stools so we finished quickly and went for a walk.

Crossing the border

Hole in the wall tapas.
Hola Sevilla!

Sevilla is really nice to walk around as there's limited traffic and small alleys. It was also nice to be in a city that is completely flat after the hilly Portuguese terrain. The architecture is also beautiful and varied so there's just so much to take in on each street you walk through.

We went to dinner at a touristico place, but it was still enjoyable as we still were just getting into Spanish food. Willow was awake past 10pm and adjusting to Espana horas well.

The next day we went to "the mushroom" or officially called the Metropol Parasol. Which is apparently the biggest wooden structure in Europe. It is quite impressive that they have built this over an archaeological site below, which is a museum.
Old and new

Expo '92 really put Sevilla on the map, just like expo 88 in Brisbane.

After we went for a late desayuno at the Alameda de Hercules. This was another beautiful area and also had some playgrounds for Willow. There were also some fountains which Willow got drenched in. After going back to the hotel for a change we got some tipica de la region steak and whisky. I am not sure how whisky got to be in the south of Spain as a sauce, but here we are. Also the steak had foie gras on top, wuddup.

Essential food groups covered; steak, liver, whiskey, salt & potato.

Later we went to an Irish pub as they were televising the Spain vs Portugal game. I was glad I wore the "la roja" jersey and not the Portuguese one as everyone booed Ronaldo when he was on TV. Although I believe this is the custom across the rest of the world too.
